obx top mount manifold good/bad
IMO i feel their products appear to have been getting better over the years and theyve been in the game for a while now. I believe their really trying to buil quality products. I do not have any of there products but, was contemplating on using their LSD
Two friends of mine have this manifold and they will crack on you. They will last a good while if you brace your turbo and waste gate but it will eventually crack.

Me personally, I wouldn't waste my time with this manifold. Your better off saving and doing it once.
Lol.Some parts fail primarily due to install error such as a diff but a manifold is pretty hard to screw up on. I use lots of OBX parts and they work fine but the mani is hit and miss. You would need a good flex, probably some bracing and luck. Really you could get a nice solid log/mini ram or similar for the same price and have no issues. I'm not saying it will fail but considering that a lot of well built sch 10 etc mani's crack the chances of the that once cracking and leading to grief is probably not worth while.
the lsd's are good oncve you fix them. the manifolds are thin material and crack. its not that they dont flow or make power they just fall apart. if you dont want to spend alot and need a top mount get the SPA top mount. its a cast unit and works VERY well. im running one and love it
it still grenaded
that sucks man, so many peopel have had great luck with them. not many have grendaded unless on a stupid high hp setup with dss stage 5's and big tires but then those guys stopped running them a logn time ago and stepped up to the big stuff
as said above, unless you want to spend a good bit of time fixing it, don't waste your time with it. they are thin and made of cheap material and WILL crack. I had an obx ramhorn and had to re-weld it three different times in three different places due to cracking. as for the lsd, my buddy has one in his autocross car (single cam CRX) and so far has not given us any trouble. it is noisy as hell in a turn but still working. do yourself a favor and just save up a little longer and get a good manifold. you will thank us later...
Again thanks guys, im running a twisted manifold for over a year now, so far so good i have 0 problem with it. i was just looking for some upgrade lol....
