Default itr cluster differences

Ok so I have searched this and found a few good answers. But maybe someone can help me out. Is there a way to tell the difference between the 96 spec and 98 spec itr clusters just by looking at them?
Thanks

Faces should be the same, wiring should be different due to obd1 and obd2.

I know the 00-01 USDM ITR clusters have the key logo for the immobilizer.

A superfast way to tell the difference.

Look in the upper left light icon group. Between the Check Engine and Oil icons there will be another icon (Catalytic Converter) for 96 spec clusters. 98 specs do not have this.

There are other visual differences, but the above is like I said superfast.

They're both from OBD2 vehicles.

I thought obd2 started in 97.

Nope, definitely '96. That's why the 94-95 GSR and del Sol VTEC are "special".

00-01
immobilizer light near maintenance light

96 Spec will have a catalytic converter icon near the CEL and the 98 Spec do not.

All ITR clusters light up amber.

I'm glad both of my pics are still being used. The one with the worldwide clusters is outdated. I have a pic with an AUDM cluster in the bunch.

I've seen that one before. IIRC, that is the cover of the h-t ITR calendar.

I made this from the one IanBlake posted up above. Anyone have a larger picture than that (or the original)? It would work.

Simply an example:

A few minor differences from the EDM cluster. Indicators and no serial number at the bottom of speedo.
