Default Full suspension, what is the best

Hey i am looking at ditching my gheto coilovers and getting a full suspension. I have a del sol, anyone have a full suspension on there that they really love or really hat, trying to get an idea of what i might want to try. I use to have tociko gas struts, but they went bad pretty quick. I dont really car what the drop is if it happens to be non-adjustable. Throw me some bones...
Thanx

tein HA's dude... top of the line, rebuildable when they start to loose their umph, and awesome pillowball mounts are an option.

hahaha, i was not looking for a suspension that cost that cost more than my motor is owrth or anything like that. I have had buddies who had tien and they dont speek highly of them anyways, sure they are rebuildable but they dont last too long.

Koni threaded suspension kit. Not too expensive, and excellent performance.

im not much a fan of full coilovers...my preference is the eibach prokit *moderate drop* with good set of adjustable shocks and struts

It would be cool if you could tell us why they suck, that way atleast some of us might think you actually know something.

Well according to AJ-Racing Tein HA's break and Rust, so they say to go for Zeals because they are much better Quality.

Go with either Tein's, H&R, or JIC full coilover kit (fully adjustable) with Mugen or Comptech strut tower bars. Those would be my best/safest bets.

From what I have tried...

The good old Koni/ground controls. Works great. Most often found suspension at the track.

And Teins are just cool as hell. Work great and you can get electronic control for them. Nice setup!

unless you race your car or are an intermediate + at driver schools, you dont need a mAd tItE jDm suspension or high dollar coil over system. just get some Eibach springs and KYB AGX's and call it a day.

A lot of the JDM coilover packages are coming down in price. Even the upper range of streetable setups aren't too far out there. Buddy Clubs, Zeal S6's, Tein N1's... all of those can be had for around $1650-1800 shipped.

It always cracks me up when people that are dealers for something else DISS a competing product.

My HA's have been very good to me, and do not show ANY rust, and do not show any signs that they are not going to last long.

Get what you can afford, and more importantly, get something that you can service in the country you live in.

I am thinking of doing the same thing, Teins with the electronic adjustable dampers. They supposedly have a shop in socal now. Teins or ?

From my personal experience.....in a del Sol......

Shocks/springs - Progress Competition coilovers. I opted for these because they are a "matched" set and are rebuildable/revalvable.

Sway bars - Stock del Sol front, rear ITR (22mm) w/Beaks

Other bars - Neuspeed front upper strut bar, rear upper strut bar and rear LCA bar

With a moderate drop, the car handles VERY nicely, IMO. Just my personal experience.....have ridden in GC/Koni, Eibach/stock and obviously stock/stock del Sols.....didn't like any of them as well as I like the Progress kit. Its obviously a stiffer ride than stock, but you get used to it, and I like it stiffer anyway (no smutty comments on that one please ).

HTH!

Brian*Black99Si ---> is right. You dont want to waste money on an expensive full suspension setup if you dont take your car on the track. You can easily get away with some KYB's and some Eibach springs. That setup is geared more for the street.

Just so you know, you can't fit the electronic adjusters on the front shocks, only the rear.
