Default d16z6/y8 HELP

Ok here is the problem.
I recently swapped a d16z6 block with a y8 head into my 89 si. Now I am getting no spark. I am running a chipped p28 via rywire obd0 to obd1 harness. I am running a d15b7 dizzy via rywire conversion harness, that bolts up perfectly to the y8 head. I am getting power to the dizzy plugs, and when I put the dizzy on another car it works perfectly. I am stumped, and was wondering if anyone could lend me some insight.
Thanks in advance for all of your help.
Aaron

When are you getting power to the dizzy plug? What color wire are you checking? Key OFF? I? II? III? My cousin is having a similar problem and I noticed it had power with the key OFF and on I but as soon as it went to II and III there was no power.

With the car on and fuel pump primed, I get battery voltage to the black/yellow wire.

Yeah man I'm stumped since you said the distributor works on another car. Did you try cranking the motor with the probe still in that plug to see if it still gets voltage?

Yeah, man gets voltage just fine. I know I am probably looking over something stupid.

The ecu is also throwing code 15 (ignition output signal).

Well that might be a clue LOL Did you look into what is causing that?

All that I have seen is to check the ignitor, coil, and dizzy sensors, all of which are in line with factory specs.

what did you do to check to see that you weren't getting spark?

According to the FSM for a code 15 either the ignitor, the ECU, or the wiring itself is the issue. Given that the distributor works in another car, you can rule out the ignitor. Has your mini-me ever ran? Or is this something you finished up recently and haven't actually ran yet because of this issue? What about that conversion harness for the distributor? Do you have that wired up properly? Also, if you have any friends with a P28 that you can try, give it a shot. That will at least eliminate your ECU as a problem if it still doesn't work.

Update: The car started yesterday. I ran it up to operating temp. and turned it off. I let it cool down, then retorqued the arp's , and gave her an oil change. I then went to restart it and that damn code 15 popped up again, and once again took a plug out, put it in the wire , grounded the plug and no spark. I had not done anything to it since checking the resistances and voltages . Now I am really stumped. I swear I have literally traced every wire looking for grounded, or broken connections , and found nothing.

Any luck on what was the cause?

A pin had pushed out of the main clip. Everything is now fine thank you all for your help. The d15b7 dizzy works wonderfully.
