hey guys i just bought a 97 civic ex with the d16y8 engine in it and i was wondering if a lil ticking when started up cold and it goes away while warm was normal ? would greatly appreciate appreciate some help. thanks.

 

Yeah, that's fairly normal. I would still recommend doing a valve adjustment since you just got the car. That way you know they're in spec. If it still ticks any after that, you could replace your Lost Motion Assemblies(lifter). After that, it should just purrrr. lol
