A friend called me last week and the company he works for is just starting to work on one. They are pretty big in auto trannies and they know what people have tried in the past, which was upgrading with simple shelf Raybestos parts. If anyone can get it to work I'd say it is them. Their test car is a 67mm car that currently has a gforce box in it and it makes good power. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

I am putting a auto in my car in the next couple weeks so I can bracket race on weekends, from looking around 92-95 hydraulically shifted B D and H autos share allot of common parts and mechanism's. IPT has upgraded clutch packs and I spoke with another domestic tranny company and they said it would be no problem getting Raybestos Blue clutch packs made. Also spoke with ATI and they said it would be no problem redoing a oem converter for a higher stall.

I don't make hardly any power but over this year I am going to try and figure out some simple solutions to get these trans to shift higher, faster ect.

I think who ever can make one work could make a fortune as this is such a hold back for the Honda scene.

wanna race

i really don't understand why someone hasn't done a built auto trans for a honda. How many domestic guys goin fast run autos? A ALOT! Also can help the whole mis-shift ordeal that is ever so popular with hondas. My biggest thing with my auto is the stall and 2nd/3rd gear. 3000 seems to be where it needs to stall opposed to the 2500 its at right now for the stock y8 i have. It just bogs a little bit. I know i could play with tire/wheel sizes to change this some and the converters on the market now raise stall 200rpms and cost 800. I just can't justify that for the little gain. I probably shouldn't race my DD anyway.

Too bad DSM's dont spin backwards. Adapter plate on that auto would be the answer.
