My friend is selling his dc5 recaros. i was wondering what i would have to do to make them fit in my ride. my mechanic tells me theyll sit really high in the car. so i was curious if anyone has put these seats in their car and what they had to do to get it right...thx..

 

Just get the rails for the DC2 Recaros. They won't sit high at all.

 

If you get stock JDM ITR DC2 rails, they will sit high. I had them in my old hatch (stock ITR + DC5 Recaros). Buy some Vision one touch sliders or MemoryFab sliders.

 

Really? My head has about 3-4 inches of clearance from the roof. Hmmm.... maybe its cuz I'm only 5'5". I guess it depends on your height.

 

I noticed I had to reach further to shift.

 

thx for the info guys. anyone know of a sure thing? since im getting different opinions from two people who have done this. i dont want to buy the seats and have them fitted really high. anyone pics of them in a type r would be helpful. thanks.

 

i have dc5 recaros in my db8 with the dc2 rails on em. im 5'8 and they dont sit too high. but if you like to sit low then id suggest going with the vision touch or memory fab rails
