My ITR won't start.. Suggestion needed.
When I turn the key, it sounds like this video (NOT MINE).

It used to do this when the day is wet and damp, but usually it starts once I tried for a couple times. Now, it doesn't come back at all and today is a rainy day.
I'm guessing it is the distributor. However, can anyone tell me how to test for spark? Can I just take out a spark plug, lay it on the engine and turn the key? Then I should see sparks? I heard that I need to ground it, but have no idea how to do it.
Should I try replacing the rotor and distributor cap first?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can get a spark plug tester its about 4 bucks at a parts store. If not just get a screw driver and insert it into the plug and make sure the screwdriver is against a grounding point like a bold or grounding wire.
You can always inspect your cap and rotor look for high corrosion and build up on the cap, and the rotor look for it being work burnt look for any arching on the cap it will look like a burn mark

That's EXACTLY what mine sounded like when my dizzy went out. Chances are you just need a new cap and rotor, which is only around $40, so try that before you buy anything expensive. After that if it still doesn't work you MAY need a new coil, but they're a little more expensive so start with a rotor and cap.
