Texas Hill Country Cruise & Guadalupe River Meet - June 12, 2010

We are planning a Hill Country Meet in the New Braunfels area on June 12th.

I'm thinking we can meet in New Braunfels for a "morning" cruise through the hills, have a photo shoot, find a good BBQ joint for lunch or grill some steaks at the park, and then tube the Guadalupe and drink some beer. If you don't know about tubing, google it. Most of us are staying at the Marriott on the river that night. It's $169 per room with 2 beds. Obviously that can be cut in half with a "roommate." They have a nice deck and bar that we can party at until the wee hours of the morning.

I urge you all to find somewhere local to stay if you plan on drinking with us! I will do my very best to keep anybody from leaving drunk..

If anybody else wants to fly in, I will be more than happy to pick you up at the San Antonio Airport. Just contact me via PM, or AIM (SoTexDC2) and we can discuss the particulars.

Our agenda is pretty open with this. I don't see a ridiculous amount of people attending, so it's easy to remain flexible. I don't feel a need to plan everything by the hour. I'm still open for suggestions as well. If you are interested, let it be known!!

Awesome. Too bad I don't live in Texas anymore. Definitely loved floating the guad. Usually stayed at Mountain Breeze. Floating season is only another 1.5-2 months away

 

There just isn't enough activity in this forum. Oh well, it's going down regardless.

My last day of class is May 8th. After that I'm completely free. Are we shooting for a weekend thing?

 

I think that would be best. Weekends are usually easier for everybody. Saturday June 19, or 26th maybe?

 

Perhaps. I have a good bit of vacation time left here at work that I HAVE to use before the end of June. Or is it the beginning?.... ****, I will find out haha.

I'm not sure if KS would actually go. I'm not even sure if he ventures out of GDD.

All I can say at this point is that it's definitely going down. Even if it's only us 5 or so GDDers, we'll have a good time. I'm thinking either the third, or fourth Saturday in June (19th or 26th.)
