its a 2000 ex auto,the car starts but shuts off right away but once its warmed up it starts right up, its been about two days now and before this the car started and ran perfect,what could the problem be because i could hear the fuel pump workin

 

Probably a regular maintenance part is going out. You can check your spark at all four wires, test the fuel pressure and check the air filter. Or, you can just start replacing any filters, ignition components and whatnot that are due for replacement.

also if i start it and give it alittle gas it doesnt die

 

check fuel pressure. sounds like you're not getting enough pressure to start.
