I need to remove a door off my crx and replace it. Im not really sure how to do it. I see there are a few bolts. but there is this little hinge thing with some sort of pin in it. How do you remove that? i dont know how to explain it. Its the part that usually rusts or breaks on crx's and makes a popping sound when you open it. if that helps


Then is there a way to switch out the lock from my door to the new one?


i searched. but everything i find is how to take off the door panel. which is easy

 

just take a pair of pliars or vice grips and pull that pin out, it will then separate from the door. then unplug the harness and take the 4 bolts out of the hinges and its off

 

okay cool. So it just slides out then?

 

Might have to gently tap it up with a small hammer but yes it just slides out.
As for the lock it is held in with with a U shaped clip that slides out to change the lock.

this is what i did. came out with no problem.

 

A torch is alot faster LOL. I had to do that to one of my doors it was junk anyway.

 

so i put a drivers door on my ej1 today and the little bar that keeps door open of from opening to far went into door now wont come out more then an inch
help?
