Default b16 hydro internals fit a b16 cable??

My b16 y1 lsd trans has bad bearings and the syncros are toast!! Even the shaft bearing too. Now i got carbon syncros but the bearings are worn out that i dont just want to put it back together like that, so i found this dude selling a b16 hydro trans with new bearings and syncros in it. He's even got it opened up to show me but i dont want to buy it off him until i know it will work for my cable trans. He says there all the same even the shaft bearing, except for the gears and the final drive which i already know. He wants 150 for it and if i order new bearings for my y1 im looking @ 220 plus some labor. can any1 tell me if this guys right? will the bearings and shaft bearing from that hydro b16 work on my y1?
