Alrite so my eg hatch has a 95 JDM B16a SiR II... i was wondering what the difference is from say a B16b? And i know the usdm Si motor has around 160 stock hp and i read that the JDM B16a has around 170 but does anyone know what it actually is? Thanks in advance

 

The USDM b16a2 and b16a3 and Obd0 B16a have 160hp. The Obd1 and Obd2 B16a engines have 170hp, but the B16b has 185hp.

 

B16B is a Civic Type R. A lot higher compression as well.

 

yeah the b16b has around 11.5:1 compression compared to the b16a's having 10.5:1 or so.

 

im still learning so whats OBD whatever exactly mean i see it all the time but have no idea.. aslo how is the engine have?

 

Well in Honda's obd0 is from 88-91 and 90-91 Integras, then from 92-95 are obd1, from 96-98 they are obd2a, then 99-00 they are obd2b.

 

ok so what does the obd reffer to or mean? does it have to do with the cars wiring and the ecu?
