Default 98 civic ex auto questions

My girlfriend just bought a 98 civic ex. I don't really know much about the automatics but when I went to check the tranny fluid the dip stick is just kinda sitting in the hole and doesn't create a seal.... So I'm worried there maybe water in there. The car seems to drive fine. Any opinions of how to tell?? And if so what should I do? Just drain it and refill? Where is the drain plug located? Thanks for any help or advise

I would drain the tranny and refill it just to make sure, the plug should be on the back side of the tranny by the passenger side axle if i'm not mistaken. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Do you guys think that if it does have water if I just drain it and refill the tranny it will be ok?
