Main relay is clicking

Default Main relay is clicking

when i go to turn my car over my main relay or some where under my dash board is making a clicking and the car wont turn over. there any ideas on how to fix this problem or why this would be happening?

the main relay is supposed to click, once when you turn the key on, once when the fuel pump is done priming, and once when you start it. if it won't turn over, I'd check the battery or the starter.

Check whether you battery has a low charge. Charge or replace it and then go from there.

First try tapping on the started itself, some times the seliond goes bad and a small tap of a wrench can make it work, if thats not it you have a dead battery

both can make a similar noise that comes from under the hood.

When the key is turned to ON(III), the starter fails to crank the engine, right? If so, is the charge on the new battery now drained?

Are the cables connected to the battery terminals TIGHTLY on?

Check the thermostat housing ground. I had a similar issue and it was caused by insufficient grounding near the starter. It may not be that ground, but the cause is most likely ground-related

Yeah, I think you are talking about the G3 ground on the transmission. If it's disconnected, the starter won't work.

check ur battery , mine used to do the same thing and the battery had low voltage

its not the battery i just replaced it
