Main relay is clicking
when i go to turn my car over my main relay or some where under my dash board is making a clicking and the car wont turn over. there any ideas on how to fix this problem or why this would be happening?
the main relay is supposed to click, once when you turn the key on, once when the fuel pump is done priming, and once when you start it. if it won't turn over, I'd check the battery or the starter.
First try tapping on the started itself, some times the seliond goes bad and a small tap of a wrench can make it work, if thats not it you have a dead battery
both can make a similar noise that comes from under the hood.

Check the thermostat housing ground. I had a similar issue and it was caused by insufficient grounding near the starter. It may not be that ground, but the cause is most likely ground-related
Yeah, I think you are talking about the G3 ground on the transmission. If it's disconnected, the starter won't work.
