Default Moroso Oil Pan and dipstick

I checked my dipstick and it shows that there's no oil whatsoever. I put 5 quarts in the new motor.....what's up? I'm I supposed to more than 5 quarts? I'm getting a oil light...and I'm thinking maybe this is related. I just started up the new rebuit motor today BTW. Thanks!

Turns out that it takes 6 and 3/4 quarts of oil to fill a rebuilt B18C with the Moroso oil pan. Now that's a lot of oil!

I though you weren't supposed to run synthetic on a new or rebuilt engine...

I once had that oil pan, however the dipstick didnt work with. IMO its a waste of money, POS and so are all their other products for imports. I have had bad experiences with all of their products. IMO use the stock pan.

The Moroso pan is OK imo.. Although I definetly see why some people think it's a pos. The thing that I hate about it is how oil pressure goes to nearly ZERO on hard left turns and hard braking.. Has anyony solved this problem by modifying the pickup? I wonder if welding a plate over the opening so it's not so large would do the trick...?

When I change my oil/filter.. It takes 6 qts to fill it up..

i have to disagree... they do make many products that work well... iv used the moroso pans on cars and have had zero problems... they make other stuff like the oil pumps for the imports now that really work... i wouldnt go around saying there products suck though...

Well I only said that cause once I bought a control arm from them and it broke in mid run at the weld, I could have died!! Thats after the oil pan that sucks. So I have a reason, thing is many new companies advertise new stuff cause they wanna get into the market and reap the $$$ but they dont test their products enough. This has happened to me with many products but I wont go on to say who , I doh wanna embarass anyone. However I would like to see a post about products that dont work.
