When I unplug mine, my car just straight up dies. Whether it be from the vaccume source or from the clip on the harness.

What EXACTLY is your car doing?

Usually the car will throw a code if the map sensor is bad. Also bad map sensors I have seen when they go bad will not let you rev over 3k rpm.

I have attached the Factory Service manual for checking out the MAP sensor. Gives the ECU pinout and the voltages you should be seeing.

Hope this helps.

the reason i ask is my car bogs/sputters/missfires once it warms up . when it starts doing it i have to mash the gas or let up and it will keep doing it sometimes i turn off my car while driving and back on and it ill got away but sometimes not so thats y i think it a sensor and the only 2 i can think of that would cause this is map or tps

V6 = on top of throttle body - L4 = on intake manifold

Check your plugs/wires. I had this problem with my car having a bad wire and it'd only do it when the car was warm.

Check codes, usually it will sputter and be slow on uptake.

you cannot automatically assume its a bad MAP sensor unitl you test it.

sputtering when warm can be a ton of things
