Default LCA Bolts type?

Alright I found the right size bolts and bought them but they are threaded the entire 80mm, so does that matter. I realized when I got home that it is not that way for the oem bolts but does it make that much of a difference? If it does I guess I can just return them and ask for the right ones.

ex. for ease...

that is similar to the one I have but mine is the right size and grade...

and that is what you really need.

So would mine cause problems?

I believe if you use a normal bolt without the longitudinal grooves like stock, it may be more prone to seizing up inside the bushing, even more so than the stock bolts. I could be wrong, though.

I, too, bought bolts similar to the 2nd pic when I first put on my Koni shocks, just in case. Luckily, I never had to use them.

So you are using the ones that are threaded all the way? Or you suggest getting new ones?

I'm still using the original OEM bolts (never had any of them break on me *knock on wood* ). The ones I got just in case were like the ones in your 2nd pic.

I know one thing, the pointed end of the OEM bolts sure makes it easier to pound the bolt through the holes to get everything lined up.

Alright but that does not really help with my question, will the ones that I bought work? I guess I will just have to return them.
