HEAT SOAK ON A FUJITA INTAKE?

Default HEAT SOAK ON A FUJITA INTAKE?

hey i recently purchased and installed a fujita SRI. i heard its one of the better intakes but i also read that it can develop a a lot of heat soaking. is this true and is there anything i can do to lessen the heat soak? thanks

nothing you can do about heat soak unless you want Cold air intake

There is something you can do for heat soak. Wrap the intake arm with reflective insulation wrap.

ok i bought the part, so i just wrap that around the silver paart of the intake? the part witht he maf sensor correct.

Correct. Just wrap the metal tube, that's all.

where did you read that the fujita is one of the better intakes? Its actually one of the worst in terms of giving consistant a/f's at WOT and part throttle.

i dunno i was reading the intake thread on ******** and a lot of people have the fujita and many people liked it. i understand it doesnt come with the veins thats why the a/f ration will be messed up but are there any decent intakes you reccommend in the $160 (thats how much i bought it for brand new on ebay) price range? thanks

The Fujita only causes issues if you are still MAF tuning. If that's the case then yes it's all over the place. You can revert back to speed density or MAP tuning and it's as good as any other SRI. I'm using one and still on MAF for the time being, it does jump around bet never to anything unsafe. Soon I'll be done with that MAF and will never think about it again.

dude just get a heat shield. i think you can buy them really cheap at like home depot and make it for your intake
