get a GSR tranny and put an LS 5th gear in it.
if your worried about the highway get a D15b7 and save gas

gsr at 80mph = 4000 rpms
b16 at 80mph = 4500 rpms

both are quite livable even on long distance trips, and if you know your way around the inside of a tranny you can use a ls 5th gear.

I agree with these guys, I'd get a B16 or GSR tranny. I am using a GSR with my LS and its fine. LS tranny has long gears and will kill your acceleration.
