Will it fit on a PS subframe? is it worth it?

 

Why not just get a manual subfram with manual rack?

 

prob is tryin to find them ive tried finding a match nothing i can get the rack but not the subframe how much is it from a junkyard over here in the NE i still havent been able to find one

 

yes you can put a manual rack on a ps subframe you will have to add a spacer to take up some room were it bolts on to the passenger side

 

idk about a spacer(s), but i did mine with no problems. just took the old one out and put the new one on.

 

the problem is it will come out of alignment thats the reason i would be needing manual subframe

 

i put a manual rack on my eg, it had PS. it bolted right on. got an alignment and im good to go. not too complicated
subframes are the same. dont make it more then it is and confuse people

 

They are different....look up the part numbers.
I have both you can buy.

 

doesnt mean its dif. Honda made alot of identical things with dif part #s

i can vouch for it not being the same, i have a manual and a PS sub-frame sitting in my garage and i can assure you there not the same

manual steering - subframe p/n 50200-SR3-C00
power steering - subframe p/n 50200-SR3-H50

You can see the mount on the passenger side is flat.


Manual mount bushing looks like a swaybar bushing.
Power is circle. Similar to this blue one.


The proper to do a manual steering swap/conversion is the use the manual subframe.

Other option is custom bracket and/or bushing.

weird my manual rack bolted up fine with no problems for 3 years now on the factory ps subframe

 

The bushings are different because a power rack is like twice the size of a manual rack however the mounting points remain the same.

 

x2 i had to put a spacer on mine and its not that bad to doo and it makes the engine bay look more clean

 

I do if you have a good offer.

 

 

just buy the energy suspension power rack bushing it goes over the manual bushing, as in double them up.. perfect fit, use a blade to round off the corrners of the manual bushing to prevent play.
