Noob Q: D16y8 valve cover
Haven't been able to find this in a dedicated thread crawl, sorry.
Scored a '99 Y8 cheap, which of course means missing bits.
Are valve covers unique or which head covers will work? TIA. H-T rocks!

The valve cover you use on the y8 must be a valve cover from a SOHC VTEC as the spark plug location differ from VTEC and non VTEC.
VTEC valve covers have the spark plug holes towards the front of the engine.
Non-VTEC is just the opposite. The plug holes are toward the back of the motor.

this is a D16Y7:
no one makes these for the EF chassis, however you can modify the EK engine damper to fit the EF chassis with a d series engine. i do not know if it will work with the b series swap.
