Ok...well im in cali and i want to get my hands on a USDM motor unfortunately because im in cali and want to BAR it. Otherwise i would get my **** from HMO. But according to website they only carry JDM. So does anyone know a good place to buy some USDM engines. Im kind of trying to look at the market and decide what i want. B18b1 ,b16a2,b18c1.....etc. Im still indecisive on what i want to get. So i want to look at a shops pricings so i can get an idea. And decide whats best for me.

H-motors carries USDM engines you just have to call them when ordering to make sure you get one. Man I am glad we don't have emissions where I am at, I would be pissed.

 

I wonder if they are cheaper since they probably have more miles on them....?

Well it seems youhad a b18b1...Would you say the b18b1 is better than the b16a2? i mean i think it is because of the torque..but will i miss vtec? I love the weak vtec so far on my D...LOL

So i can narrow my swap to b18b1 or b18c1....depending of how much i have saved up when my d blows.

 

do you think any one has tried getting away with simply stamping a "1" or a "5" or w/e numbers are missing on jdm motors?

People get BAR certifications on JDM engines all the time.

 

I liked my B18B1 way better than my B16A I had, it was way stronger. But, I like my B20's better, but I know you can't bar those in your cars. Emissions is gay, yall need to move to Alabama, man we don't even have to have mufflers on cars here, I have a 1992 Turbo civic hatch running just a down pipe, never got in trouble for it.

 

See thats my confusion. I've heard both,that you can and cant bar Jdm engines? Which one is it? Before I read that all you needed to do on jdm engines was get usdm mani and sensors and all. But I've heard that its impossible now.
