actually, they are different. i believe the bracket is what is different. you need to use your stock alternator bracket for a 99-00 civic Si if you want to use the stock Si alternator.
i have a 96 civic with a b16a2 and when i had to change my alternator i got a alternator for a 00si and it didnt work. i ended getting a gsr alternator and it worked fine

For some reason IDK why but I have a JDM B18C-R and things bought in the US didnt fit. I went to the store and got the correct belt for a USDM ITR B18C5. It wasnt even close to fitting. I ended up getting a belt of w/e I dont remember what size to fit it and it barely fit. What a PITA, belts were either too big or too small. Then when I thought the alternator was going I decided to go look up how much one would be at the store. They said for the ITR I would have to contact someone in Japan to ship one over... the ****? Damn JDM awesomeness becoming a PITA lol
I tried like every B series belt lol I think what it is IDK if this is all or just mine maybe the B18C-R has a smaller/lighter crank pulley? Isnt the CTR crank pulley like smaller and stuff? Maybe thats why the correct belts wer too big. Sometimes you import these motors and find some hidden surprises. The only thing I found was NGKR Iridium Spark plugs. I've seen people pull them apart to find out its not a factory freak it was built or more common an aftermarket clutch. IDK what it was lol

yeah i had before a ctr pulley i dont remember i think it was smaller the belt wouldnt fit with the oem alternator pulley so i got one of those AEM ones that were much bigger and it fit with the oem alternator belt. but i think they sell the alternator belts for the ctr pulley you switch on
I would think a 95 Del Sol VTEC would be the right one. Is this for a 96-00 civic?
Don't think there is such a thing as a JDM B16A2 considering JDM engine don;t have any number after the last letter, B16A2.

You are correct, I forgot about this. I had to do the same when I put an alternator on my JDM B16.
I have an 00si alt on my b18a...i thought all b series alts were the same, it's just that lower bolt is a bitch to get in there. I do know that it's possible to rig up a d series alt if you trim the adjustable upper bracket a little.
