Default Ek Sir bumpers question

How can you tell if the Sir bumpers are oem or not. Just by looking on the outside??

How are those Sir style bumpers fitment? compared to oem.

i know oem will always be better.

There are lots of SiR style bumpers that look OEM from the outside, but are replica.

I've seen some replicas before and they just didn't fit as well. Well, at least the ones I've seen in person.

I would imagine some front ones might be missing the clips that allow a front plate to be mounted. The OEM ones say HONDA and <PP> on the inside of the bumper and have a grid that shows years.

Aftermarket ones often will say HONDA on the inside, but not in the Honda font. That's usually because they make lots of bumpers for different makers. Just like bumpers for a Mazda made by those same companies would say MAZDA on the inside.

Get OEM if you can. I bought Replicas for my ej and reqret it. There are gaps under the headlights as well as other places. Some front bumpers you have to remove the bumper support. I just forced mine on, it was a hassle. Gonna get OEM ones soon.

As far as which rear bumper will fit better, coupe/sedan or hatch, it could greatly depend on which aftermarket company they're coming from.

Either way, I'd save my pennies and get the real deal. I always feel much better about getting a good product than getting crap.
