the mph is pretty good, that would really be a low 14 sec run on that MPH.

The 60ft is way too high, you must have been spinning like crazy.(he had a typo I think, or I read it wrong. I thought it said 3.3 60ft before)

Reaction time: dont worry about it too much if you are just practicing anyways.
it doesnt make a difference on the ET, 1/4 mile time.

NExt time, try launching it at around 4-5K, dump the clutch but dont keep the gas on all the way.
Gas it, but let off alittle and slowly give gas as you feel the car hook up, then floor it.

The 16" rota's isnt helping much either, but you can still play around with it if its all you got.

Good luck.

Wil

Actually the MPH is a mid to high 14. I'm trapping 96 mph on a 14.4. Alot of gsr's trap around 97-98 and run low 14's. The 60ft does need some work but it's not horrible. Keep working at it

Okay I know reaction time has nothing to do with ET but what in the world were you doing when the 2nd yellow lit. I could finish reading Moby Dick in that time!
Overall, 60ft is not bad. You should be in the high 14s.

"Wow what a pretty green light! I know it means something. Hey track official, what does that green light mean? Go? Ok, thanks! Alright here it goes!"

I'm just joking . Alot of people including me work on the launch on test and tune. I have gotten a 4.xx RT just trying to get the rpm's just right and not worry about being pressured into a good RT. If you were at a bracket race then work on that though

edit: owned by my own stupidity.

anyway, try to launch at like 4-5000 and feather the clutch out. the 60' is DAMN good tho.
i can barley squeeze 2.3's on my b16. damn torqueless wonder.

someone says launch at 4-5k and dump the clutch then someone says launch at 4-5k and feather the clutch. Which is going to get you a better 60' time?

Both can work. I've dumped at 4-5K and had to modulate the gas pedal. Got a 2.2 60ft. I've also feathered the clutch and gotten 2.2s.

BTW, these are on shitty goodyear intrepid tires (stock tires for 13'' vx wheels).

r/t dosen't matter w/ the 1/4 mile, the timer dosen't start until you leave the line and cross a sensor, right? or am i wrong i could be wrong......
You can sit at the light for an hour if you want. Makes no difference in ET.

The trap is good for mid-high 14's. You should be able to pull a mid 2.2 60' at least.

That trap speed is good for mid 14's. Your 60' could be better, but it's not bad for your first time. From what I see you people baby your clutches. My best 60' times come from feathering it from 7k or so. I pulled a 2.1 on 400 treadwear tires.

get the launch down and u got some quick times for that car, problem is judging the track your on and the tires u use.....trial and error

did you roll through the water box?

you don't need to unless you have slicks, it just cause too much wheel spin. you will drop your 60ft time if you dont roll through the water
