Jammed ignition key cylinder

Jammed ignition key cylinder
So my ignition lock assembly thing is broken. I think the thief jammed something metallic into it and now my car thinks the key is always in. Is there a way to open and fix this or am I SOL? It's $209 online. I'd imagine much more at the dealer. Thanks!
