Noob with a few questions
Ok. Here are some updated pictures of my project. Any one know anybody that does underbody coating in the North Bay the closer to Sonoma County the better. I am going to get the whole body soda blasted (power washed with baking soda) to strip the whole car clean to bare metal. That way I can make sure there is no rust on the car. I plan to keep it for a long time. I'm not sure if I want to use a rubberized coating or frame coating as of yet. I might stick with rubberized for the sound deadening and a bit more protection.
Well I've been trying to do my homework before I started my project. I decided to start with a clean body just get the underbody coated then I'm going to move onto the suspension and engine. Since I will probably end up using a b16a swap what is recommended for a 2" drop? Coils, struts, and sway bar only and keep the rest stock? I want to have good road feel and I don't mind having a bit of a stiff suspension. I want to have a good response and handling. I'm trying to keep the suspension under $1,500.
I'm trying to keep the whole project under 6g's at least for suspension, engine, tranny, and wheels. I will be running 17" wheels with 205/40r17's. Thanks for any advise you can give me.

lose the 17s if you want a 2" drop, your not even ganna be able to turn without rubbing. id recommend 15's and wouldn't go bigger than 16's.i got my whole skunk2 coilover kit + LCA's for $700, there stiff but not too stiff. good luck.
As the previous guy said the 17's will be to big if you want a 2 inch drop.
Check out Element Motorsports. They had K-sport full coilovers including rear Lower control arms for ~700 bucks shipped to Ohio.

even if you could make them fit, it just doesn't look good.. they're way too big for an ed chassis. as was said previously, i wouldn't go any larger than 16's. but i mean its your car so whatev

Well I'm if I go with 17's I am going to roll the fenders so the wheels don't rub, but just for ***** and giggles lets say I go with a set of 15's. What tire size should I use because the overall diameter of the tires is going to be the same regardless of the wheel size. Here is a picture of the wheels I'm planning to get. Kosei's they only weigh 12lbs 15's or 15lbs 17's.. As for suspension thanks for the suggestions. What do you guys think about ground controls? Either way I probably won't be messing with the height once it's set.
Ok. So can I get some actual help with tire sizes. I'll give in to the 15's but what tires size should I use? Should I stick with the same diameter size tire the stock wheels had?
Where did you order your coilovers from?

/\ 4wd
\/ Dumped.

Just because you tuck monster truck wheels, doesn't mean your car is low.
