Default Restoring my '95 RS

Well I've always wanted an Integra and finally got the chance to get one. It's a 1995 RS special edition, bought it with a blown motor for $300.

This is going to be a restoration thread of my car, if you're interested in seeing baller *** parts and that jazz, this won't be the thread for you. Possibly later on when the car is done I may start a real "build" thread when I aquire some parts.

My plan for this car is to put a new power plant in it for now to get driving and in the summer build another motor. Also full metal work/body work and paint will be done by me with the help of my dad who used to own a shop for 34 years.

On with the pics!

These are from when I went to go look at it.

Took some better pictures of it, RIGHT after a snow fall.

Brought home the new motor, a jap spec B20B

I got some parts for the motor and found an OEM ITR wing for hella cheap. Thanks Martin!

Got my clutch kit

And I decided to dissassemble the interior to be able to get to the rust, and give all the peices a good cleaning

Found a little surprise. Going to have fun fixing this one.

And finally an interior shot. It's mintyyyyyy.

Which brings me to this point. It's been very cold here but I've manged to work on the car a little everyday and the motor is almost ready to come out. Hopefully for spring break it'll be running and me and my pops can start the body work. Oh and sorry if the updates aren't baller or come often, I'm paying for everything myself with a part time job.

All comments and criticism welcome.

Nice, good luck with the restore. A friend of mine picked up a 95 LS that needed a timing belt and the clear on the roof was faded some for $500. New timing belt and ran perfect.

You guys need to get some integras from the south, I've never even seen rust on an integra down here lol.... Looks like a good starter car to build though, and nice choice on the motor...

So today I worked on getting the engine/tranny out. I thought I was going to have it out but unfortunatly it gets dark here at like 6 and I started only at 2 when I got home from school. So tomorrow all I have left to do is just unbolt the mounts and she's coming out!

Some pictures from today, sorry for the dark and cell phone quality.

LOOOL, the dude told me "I think I overfilled it with oil, not sure"

Holy exploded block Batman! Looks like you have your work cut out for you. That rust doesn't look pretty but I'm looking forward to see you bring this car back too health. Good luck!

Even in western Washington there's no rust despite the fact it rains here 99.99999% of the time about 3 seasons out of the year... The downfall of living in a cold place I suppose

Well not much of an update, but I put the ls intake and alternator on the B20. I spend a good hour and half getting that damn gasket off the intake.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll take off the tranny and send the flywheel to get resurfaced.

Just ordered some Avid torque mounts because the stock ones literally disintegrated when I took them out. LOL.

Again not much of an update but whatever, hahah.

Finished putting the B20 together, all I have left to put on it is the tranny.

Took the tranny off the B18. First time ever taking off a tranny so I took a while to do it. Lol.

Tomorrow I'll take off the flywheel and Monday it's getting resurfaced, then I can start putting it back together. :thumb up:
