Skunk2 Springs?
Hello, I haven't been on here for a very long time. Looking to purchase some springs for my car. I have read all the info on the Tein's, the Eibachs and the Skunk2. From what I understand the drop on the Skunk2's about a half inch more than the other 2? My question is with stock shocks will I still be able to use my stock wheels and tires without any rubbing issues? I am guessing yes, but just wanted to check. Thanks guys for the help in advance.
you'll be fine.. oem shocks wont last as long. to save you money, just save up and buy coilovers. i was in the same boat as you and i hopped on the coilover bandwagon.
if interested on some coilovers for cheap.... let me know....
i have a set of skunk2 pro-s coilovers....
i used them for about 15K miles......
im selling them for $380 plus shipping.....
condition is good.....

I am dropped on Skunk2 springs. You'll have no problems with rubbing on stock wheels and tire size. I rub my snow tires every once in a while but they are taller and wider than stock.
Do what Ivtec recommends. I wish I had the cash for coilovers at the time I lowered my car. The struts will blow soon enough and I'll have to replace them, which costs almost as much as (or more than) coilovers.

Have you checked out the HFP set-up. Struts and springs for $450.00, Collegehills.com.
Warrenty still intact, no need for camber adjustment, and good performance. Just a thought!

Doesn't sound like a bad deal sir. I might take you up on that. Recently became a homeowner so I am waiting on my fat tax return before I throw down on something. Looking to get tint and some sort of drop over the summer. Car only has 7k miles on it so I don't want to do anything to crazy.
I looked at what HFP has to offer and it is definitely appealing, but the drop isn't really that dramatic. It is probably the best overall setup for the car as far as performance from what I understand. I was thinking I could do the skunk2 springs on the cheap for now and wait till my stock shocks go away and then pop for the skunk 2 shocks to finish off the system. Looks like they can be had for under $300.
