Default 1991 Integra Ls Idle Screw

so everyone but I seem to know where the screw to adjust the idle is. does anyone have a pic of where it is supposed to be? This is assuming that oil pressure problems could be caused by the car having an idle that is too low (400-750) till I just barely press the gas raising the idle to 900 or so. Also, is it normal for the idle to bounce ~200 rpm? Oh, and does lowering a car cause it to burn through axles about every six months? And, if so, is there some type of axle that lasts longer on lowered cars?

The idle screw is right on the top of the throttle body. there is a red tube that connects right to the right of it. You have to use a flat head screwdriver to adjust it.

The idle problem could be your idle air control valve which is mounted on the back of the throttle body with 2 bolts. They go bad after a while. I have an extra one (if I can find it) that should work and will ship to you cheap if you want it.

You shouldn't be breaking axles unless you're car is ultra low, like on the bottom of a coilover setup, or your driving around trying to hit every bump and pothole or you live in some extreme conditions. Are you dragging the car? The snap of dropping the clutch will break the axles if your doing it often and they aren't aftermarket. You'd have to ask around for a good aftermarket axle as I never put any on my DA.

Its not that low, it doesn't scrape when I go over speed bumps, but I do have to go slow or it hits when the wheels come down off the bumps. I don't abuse the car at all, I wouldn't call it babying the car, but I do drive it around. I try to avoid bumps and potholes, but stuff happens. More or less it seems to just be the outside boot that tears. I was thinking that maybe because I lowered it, the distance between the transmission and the wheel assembly increased just enough to cause it to tear when I turn the wheel all the way. Is there some way to test the idle air control valve to tell if its bad? The bouncing idle is not all the time, I would say less than half the time the car is on.

does it idle that way when the car warms up or only when it is cold?
it could also be the FICV or your IACV

You got me on the boots man. My car is fairly low and I never had a problem with breaking the boots. are you on a coilover setup? If so, raise it up a bit and see if that helps. If not, it could be the brand of axle just doesn't work for your setup. I don't know if it would help, but are your motor mounts in good shape? If the motor is moving around it could place more strain on your axles. Probably not much, but something to think about.

Those specific numbers were for when its cold, it still bounces ~200 rpm when its cold but it is doing it at ~1750 rpm. I will have to look at the mounts, it is on coilovers but it is not low at all, I constantly see people that are lower than I.
