Default Finished painting my garage; lower drywall edge?

I just recently finished painting my garage (bright white; it looks like a hospital now lol). Anyways, I want to add some kind of trim to the bottom edge of the drywall (where it meets the concrete). Any ideas? Thanks.

I always recommend a darker color paint along the bottom edge of the wall because that is where most of the dirt accumulates.

Yeah I am back and forth about painting the bottom edge (up maybe 3 feet or so) all the way around. I was considering some kind of stainless steel "trim/paneling." Thoughts?

Vinyl Base Moulding, (it comes in a big roll at Home Depot, Menards, Lowes, etc).

No problem. I used it in my basement when I remodeled. It's more resistant to water and other elements than wood is.

Don't forget to use a bead of silicon or a bonding type sealant between the floor and the molding. That way if you ever spill something or use a really wet mop. The moisture won't be able to get up between the molding and the drywall.

Friend of mine has 6" of thin brushed aluminum diamond plate along the floor and more on his cupboard doors. Looks pretty sick and you can seal it up the same way as the vinyl molding because his was scored and bent with a 1/2" bottom lip. $$$ I'll see if I can get him to take a pic.

^Cool thanks. Yeah the vinyl would definitely be the less expensive option.

I'm considering painting the lower half of the wall another color besides white. Any suggestions? I was thinking of using dark gray?

I think gray or dark blue looks good. Aluminum plate is nice too but expensive. Although its easy to clean.

I heard that flat white paint reflects better than gloss white... has anybody else heard this?

gloss is easy to clean. flat white will look like crap in a few weeks.. use the cove base and seal it like stated before
