Default question about a crx with an LS swap

i have a 1989 crx with a b18a1 (from a 91 integra LS) and i broke the axle last week and im currently trying to fix it...i didnt do the swap i bought it like that, and was wondering if anyone knew if the axle HAS to be from the integra engine or is the crx's axle also compatible with an LS engine...i need to know which axle was used so i can order parts, so is there anyway of telling which axle was used in the engine swap is what im trying to ask...

thanks for any help

The axle has to come from an integra as the splines wont match up from a CRX or any D series.

one more question, since the axle is from the integra does that mean the hub assembly is as well?

no - the hub end of the axles are the same diameter and same number of splines on the Integra as they are on the 88-91 CRX/Civic DX/Si/LX/EX - 88-91 CRX HF and 88-91 Civic STD use axles with a smaller diameter hub end with fewer splines - hubs on these cars would need to be swapped to ones from CRX/Civic DX/Si/LX/EX or Integra to use Integra axles

passenger side axle would be 90 and up Integra - driver's side axle would depend on which intermediate shaft was used, i.e. 90-93 intermediate shaft uses 90-93 axle, 94 and up intermediate shaft uses 94 and up axle

well it's the passenger side axle that broke, and i have a 89 crx DX...so what youre saying is that there is no difference between the 90-91 integra hubs and the 88-91 CRX DX hubs correct? i just want to make sure before i buy a part i cant use.

Just buy the 91 integra axle, it will be the only one that will fit in the transmission, the hubs are the same size as jlicrx stated.
