Default Biggest headache suspension related

Ok my car feels like complete **** i can barley go over 70mph without feeling like im going to die, there is tons of play in the steering wheel and any little bump feels like i bottom out.
My suspension consist of kyb adjustable shocks with ground control coilovers. I replaced my inner/outer tie rods, lower ball joints, upper control arms, and energy bushings. And still it feels like **** and the tie rods(all ebay parts bad idea) are gone now??? So im thinking now my steering rack is the issue. So know im ordering all OEM front end parts.

My question is what can be my issue is it the steering rack? Should i spend $800 on all these parts or what? And what is a nice full coilover under $600 my choices are F&F Type 1's, Progress, Koni yellows w/ my ground controls? Any suggestions?

Thanks any info will help, buying parts soon so i want to do this right the 2nd time around...

I am having similar trouble with my car and was able to remove a lot of the slop by doing a rack guide adjustment. There is a big *** 40mm nut on the bottom side of the rack with a smaller 14mm bolt in the middle. Loosen the big nut and then tighten the 14mm until tight, then back off a quarter turn. Then tighten the 40mm while holding the 14. Now my car is a civic so I'm not sure if the procedure is the same or not, but that made a big difference for me. Plus it's free to try so give it a shot.

it is 40mm, you can use a fan clutch wrench set from autozone, on their loaner tools

Yeah it's big as a mf'er! When I did mine I just used a set of Channel Locks to loosen it. You could probably use a big adjustable wrench too. You don't need to remove it, just loosen it enough to turn the adjusting bolt.

Im going to try and do this. I also have a civic. So loosen the 40mm bolt then then tighten the 14mm bolt back off a 1/4 turn then tighten the 40mm bolt correct. Do you have a pic of the exact locaton of this bolt?

Also one day i was doing a oil change and noticed one of the bolts on my steering rack was missing could this have damaged my steering rack or did all the play loosen it and made it fall out???? This was 14mm bolt located on the bottom of the rack...

The adjustment point is right on the bottom of the rack around where the column comes in. If you get under there, it's pretty obvious. It's the only big *** nut under there!
Here's a pic. You loosen #15 and tighten #4

Cool that makes sense im gonna try this tomorrow. If this doesnt work i guess i'll get a nes steering rack. Also you see where #29 bolts onto the bottom of the rack that bolt was missing out my steering rack...Crazy

Another question how do you guys feel about aftermarket suspension parts like Moog the advance auto **** or should i just go OEM.

Readjusting that will adjust the "steering play". If it is still loose you might also need to replace the rack end bushing. As far as coilovers go the Koni/GC is a bit out from 600. If you want to stay around there look at PIC or progress they both make some solid products.

I replaced my inner and outer tie rods with Advance Auto parts and they seem fine to me. I didn't get the Moog, but I got the mid priced units (I think they are Beck Arnley or something). They fit perfectly and look ok to me. I plan on replacing my upper and lower control arms pretty soon as well.

I believe the rack end bushing is #9.
