15 16 17?
I am thinking about purchasing a set of rims for my car. What do most of you have size wise? I was thinking 16's, weight doesn't matter too much, but theyve got to be strong enough for the potholed roads in PA.
16's with thicker tires. no low pro's; then youcan handle potholes and still be light.
edit: bleh i need puncuation and to complete my sentences.

well the 6th gens have a larger radius than most... I'd say you'd be fine with 17's and a 45 series tire... thats what I run. But you have to pay attention of course. Keep enough 'IcedMocha' in you and you'll be fine.
16's with a 50's series tire will be virtually fool proof though.

anyone know if 16x8"s with +43 offset will fit ok on a 5th gen? (volk te37 or le37s)
which means slightly shorter gears. this is also why you see people (really competitive people) running on 13's... mainly civics/tegs miatas and ol school cars like triumphs midgets and what not.

Big wheels are used just to clear huge brakes. Not extra traction
Like Gennady said, width is more important in most of our applications, thats why u see really wide 13" wheels, for gearing and grip.
