INLINE Fuel Pump vs Walbro
I have an 89 crx si with LS turbo tuned at 5psi (195whp/175tq). Fuel set up consist of dsm blue tops injectors, aftermarket fuel rail, an unknown brand FPR, and stock fuel pump. I want to up the boost and looking to make about 280whp or so. I hear people are pushing a hair over 300whp on the stock fuel pump. I'd rather be safe then sorry. My questions is, Should I drop the fuel tank and replace with a walbro 255 or is there an INLINE pump that will work for me and cost around the same price?
On a second note, I'm unsure at this time if the current fuel pump is stock or aftermarket. I bough the car already with turbo and the guy didn't know to much about the setup. Any easy way to check this? I do have a fuel pressure gauge tapped in.
help me out H/T

Well you have to drop the tank to replace the fuel pump. On that note. I would think it would be easyer to drop the tank and replace the pump with a known walbro, than it would to cut the fuel line, flare the line, buy the fittings, and then put a inline pump in. and the best way to see if its a walbro is to drop the tank and pull the pump out.
