Default 94 accord EX 2.2 with JDM tranny?

My car is a 1994 Accord EX with 2.2L V-TEC engine. The transmission went bad. Can I use a Japanese tranny on it? I can get a good deal on a nice looking one, and am having trouble with junkyard trannys. I have gotten 2 bad ones so far. Would there be a problem with the speedometer? Can the parts be easily swapped to make it work? If I use the Japanese one (in KPH instead of MPH) will it confuse the TCU?

I don't see why you can't use a JDM Auto tranny.

Apparently, as long as I use the speed sensor from the Japanese unit all should be well. We'll see. I can return the tranny if it doesn't work.
