Unlock both doors from drivers side keyhole?
I'm not sure if my integra is supposted to have this feature, but if I turn the key to unlock my drivers side door, is my passanger side supposted to unlock also?
I drive a 1994 integra ls.
I drive alot with a passanger and it gets very annoying having to get into my car, turning the key to unlock mine, then once I get in my car, hit the switch to unlock my passanger side. I believe if I recall correctly, newer integras have this feature. If you turn the key in the drivers door to unlock the door, it unlocks both sides. If the older integras don't have this feature, anyone know how to add it?
Please don't say get a keyless entry, or stop being lazy. I'm simply asking if this was a feature of an older integra, and if it could be added. I rather not add a remote to my rather full keychain for a keyless entry. Thanks

I dont believe so. Unlocking the door manually dosnt send any signal to the control unit to unlock the passenger door. Keyless entry yes, but manually no
it's a feature. As long as you hold the key in the OPEN position longer then 2 seconds or so, all the doors unlock.
In my Integra sedan, I would hold the key to the OPEN position for a few seconds, and all four doors unlock.

Thats nice to know. I guess i get spoiled w/ my keyless entry.
my 98 R does it, and my buddy's 97 R did it as well, so it isn't an exclusive 98-01 thing. did you hold the key for about two seconds?
I have a 98 GSR and it does the same thing....I think Acura did that for more like a security measure? I do know if you unlock the doors with the key from the passenger side it unlocks both doors and hatch....lol, go figure?
beat me to it! there you go OP, you must not be holding the key.

I have keyless entry...but then again, I don't have keyholes.
All my door handles are the rear door handles so I can have that "shaved keyhole" look.
and to prevent master key juggling.
heh.

Anyone else know of this feature? I really do not want to go aftermarket keyless entry.
My 94 LS did it, you had to turn the key to open twice and on the second turn hold it there and it opened both doors, but I had automatic locks so if you have manual locks I don't believe it works.
I have an ls, but i feel like i got the short end of this stick lol.. Sorry to thread jack but i have always been curious as to why Honda put power mirrors and roof, but not windows or locks.. Back to subject, mine does not do that lol
I have a 97 GSR and it used to unlock both sides when I hit the unlock switch, but I hated that and I somehow got rid of it I think by replacing the actuator on the driver's side.
I don't see what's so bad about adding a security system. The Integra is the #1 stolen car many years running.
You don't have to have two remotes (oem and aftermarket) if that's your concern.

My 1995 GS-R Sedan unlocks all four doors if I hold the key in the unlock position. It does this from BOTH the driver's side and passenger's side front door key holes.
