Hello i am looking for a few pictures and walk through for a 1993 honda accord ex distro rebuild, my coil is on the outside of the distro. just want a good idea if i have to take it off the engine to replace the igniter or not.

 

The ignitor on my 93' Lx is inside the distributor. Remove Distributor cap, rotor, and inner wall. The Ignitor is at the bottom with 4 wires connected (In order from left to right standing at passenger fender. Blk/wht Grn/Ylw Blu Blu) It is held in place by 2 screws located directly under Ignitor.

 

None that I have ever found, however, if you look at the aftermarket or actual Honda manuals you can get a clue. Honestly, finding and replacing the bearings and other internal parts is bitch and I prefer to use flying_pat's (distributer king) new distributers on ebay as they have upgraded components and a lifetime warranty. I even found a code on here in 2006 that gave me a discount and I got the entire unit, including cap and rotor for a little over $100.00. I had a problem (or thought I did) and they wanted to RMA it ASAP.
