clutch feels loose after flywheel resurfaced
im swapping my d15b into another si hatch i just bought. i bought a new clutch disc and pressure plate. i already have a lightweight flywheel so i just had it resurfaced. well the motors in now and when i hooked up the clutch cable i had to adjust it all the way to get the cable tight...is this normal for a resurfaced flywheel? im assuming the release bearing has to move forward more now that the flywheel is thinner but its only by thousandths of an inch. i didnt expect it to have this much play
well the clutch pedal feels like it should now...but i had to adjust the cable all the way. i cannot turn the adjuster nut any further.
and the damn clutch pedal squeaks on this hatch too gayy...anyone? my cable is adjusted almost all the way. it feels spongy to me
shouldn't feel spongy, its a cable actuated clutch. couldn't tell you why you had to adjust that nut so much further though. all i can figure is this new clutch assembly is less thick than the old one and therefore you have to adjust more slack out for the t/o bearing to begin to come in contact with the pressure plate.
