strange chirping noise....
Just recently I noticed a strange chirping noise coming from what sounds to be my engine bay. I don't hear it when the car is idling nor when I pull on the throttle cable. It's only when I'm driving. When I come to a stop and put the clutch in completely it goes away. At first I was thinking that it was one of the accessory belts, but it doesn't seem logical that depressing the clutch removes the chirp. I was thinking last night that I might have a leak in the flex pipe weave (haven't looked yet) but that still doesn't make any sense. I did have the clutch replaced about 2 months ago at the dealer with a Honda OE clutch and all related assembly pieces. Could this be the cause of this chirp? Has anyone else experienced this? Please help me figure this out before I have to actually pay money to fix it. Thanks a lot guys.
First thing id try is tightening the belts. When you depress the clutch you're releiveing the engine of some resistance, that could be why it stops. but what do I know...
I was even thinking that possibly that I didn't properly lube the bearing when I installed my clutch a month ago. Does this sound logical?
my car had a wierd chirp after i threw my ACT in. It went away in about a month. Never sure of what it was, this was about a year and a half ago.
