headgasket???

Default headgasket???

long story short i bent valves on my base rsx....i got a head from a ep3 but i bought a base rsx headgasket....now when i start the car oil leaks from just above the oil pressure sensor. Should i have bought the headgasket from the ep3?

Well what is directly above the oil pressure sender? If it was a head gasket you would probably be experiencing a little more symptoms than a little oil leaking out. You would probably have a loss of compression for that cylinder and it would be leaking out coolant.

Well, I don't know anything about the ep3...

That said, when I had my head off of my K20A2, NAPA only sold a headgasket for the base model RSX. They are apparently the same head gasket, so I used that one and haven't had any problems. Not sure if that helps you any. Probably not.

clean the oil off completly, then run it to see exactly where its coming from...did you apply hondabond where you were suppose to?

no i didnt apply any hondabond never really heard about that but will will look into this!

Default head gasket

I've looked on both the Autozone and Rock-Auto websites and both list the same head gaskets for the EP3 and the base DC5. Rock-auto did list another gasket "HG218" for the base and Type-S.
