99-00 EX front brakes? help
hello everyone. i recently got a set of 99-00 EX front knuckles/brakes off a wrecked coupe. i was wondering, is it just a direct swap in? do i need to get the master cylinder or anything else to be able to run EX front brake on my 91 DX sedan? i tried to search but most threads involved DA/DC front/rear disc swap. ill be doing rear discs later but in the mean time id like to these EX front brakes on. any help would be appreciated. links or answers. THANKS!
the 92-00 spindles are designed different than the 88-91 spindles. yes you can bolt them on, but your suspension geometry will be way off. the only way to keep the correct geometry is to get the super rare 90-91 civic 4 dr ex front spindles and brakes, or you can use the 90-93 integra front spindles and brakes. the 90-93 integra spindles are a little taller than the civic ones, but the overall design is the same. if your car is at stock height, you will have a little bit of positive camber using the integra spindles. however if your car is lowered, it should help correct this.
