Default Japanese Owner Pictures

Seeing as how the car JUST came out there, new owners (and test-drivers like this guy) are flooding Minkara and other sites with pictures of their cars. I thought I'd post a few up. If anyone else finds any, please add.

I will also be posting up more CR-Z stuff at sixsylinder.blogspot.com as I find it.

***I WILL PAY GOOD MONEY FOR JAPANESE CR-Z PROMOTIONAL DEALER MATERIALS. Especially one of those green flags!

Headlights have lots of cool little details:

Stock JDM tire appears to be either Advan A10 or Potenza RE50. This car has the Advans.

Crazy passenger-side wiper:

Same plastic intake mani as on the 1.5L in the JDM Fit.

Battery container, I believe?

Not sure what I'm looking at here with the hose. Anyone?

Rear plate mounting area with backup camera:

What is ETC? Looks like a card reader of some kind?

Ah, the much-beloved JDM road flare:

Video input is interesting.

Not much for rear visibility:

Crazy gauge cluster. Apparently green is when it's either at a stop or engaged in regenerative braking...maybe?

"Normal mode"

"Eco Mode"

"Sport mode"

i thought the gauges were green when your driving "good" not using a lot of fuel and red when you are zippin around wasting gas and the hose in the trunk is a medical cath. lol j/k

I wish the US version comes with those seats. Even though they might be useless, they are still seats.

that hose you were looking at in the rear is for a fluid that goes into the tire if you have a puncture in your tire. it fills in the hole and allows you to pump the tire back up with air. its a temporary solution. it should come with a small air pump aswell. mazda rx8's have it in their trunks aswell.

Neat, thanks for the explanation.

A few new photos posted today. Lots of covers on the undercarriage, presumably for aero?

Cool! Thanks for the link.

Think that orange cable on the underside of the car is power from the rear-mounted battery box to the electric motor in the front?

any cables put in an orange shielding like this is automatic indication of high voltage wires for the purpose of the rear battery and hybrid electric motor, like you stated. the prius has this as well.

i like it. it wouldn't give the "greener" feel to doing something good for the environment. and it also appears that it could be kinda fun to drive.

Someone up above answered it. It's the Japanese toll-booth payment system.

Google does a halfway-decent job of translating the wiki article.

The Front, and Interior is cool, but I don't really like the back of the car.
They should have made it a bit better.
