i swapped in a d16y7 into my 91 ef dx. bought the boomslang obd0 dpfi to obd1 mpfi jumper harness. installed evrything to there instructions but now got a crank no start. any sugjestions??? i replaced the fuel pump. has a 94 dx intake mani and dizzy. sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and it starts and dies then crank no start.

 

Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the on position? Does the fuel system have fuel pressure? Which injectors are you using?

 

ya. i tried changing the main relay before cus the fuel pump was no go. replaced the fuel pump and now getting fuel pressure. pressure gets up to 40psi. the injectors i am using are from a 94 dx.

 

was throwing cel code 8. tdc sensor. so im thinking its the distributor? the tdc sensor will control the fuel injectors rite? cus must b getting spark to start with starting fluid but dies after?? any 1 got any ideas??

 

what distributor is on it?

 

You're using OBD1 injectors, so what did you do with your stock injector resistor box?

 

If your getting tdc code then your dizzy could have a problem but if its running on start fluid i would check that you getting power to injectors, especially if you hearing the fuel pump kick on. What injectors are you using?

 

the dizzy is from a 94dx. the injectors are also from the same 94dx.??

 

are u able to clutch start the car? or u cant do that either?

 

I would test to see if you have power at injectors when key is on (car off). I am assuming you used the dx wiring harness?

 

yes. using the factory dx dpfi harness with the boomslang ond0 dpfi to obd1 mpfi jumper harness and a po6 ecu.

my bad.. but um i not to sure wat i did with the obd0 injector box. but ya i did convert to obd1 with the jumper harness.
