I didn't read the whole article, but I'm pretty sure the ITR topped the Si in almost all the performance tests. The ITR is very function focused, more of a purist choice of automobile. The Si is more for the everyday driver that want's to indulge in some sporty fun once in a while. I think it's simply no comparison. The dc2 although outdated relative to the fg/fa's is still an excellent car. However, a CTR/ITR comparison would be more fair, as in fd2/dc5.

The new civic Si and Mugen Civic SI is a joke, I personally have beat both of them, honda is at a downfall period right now with there sports cars, they dropped the S2K and NSX now the only thing carrying on the name is the Civic Si in the Americas which is extremely slow and not worth the price tag granted it might be a newer car I would much prefer my Type-R over a new Civic Si anyday, now dont get me wrong the Civic Mugen RR is an amazing vehicle and is in my mind a beautiful work of machinery, and the Civic RR advanced concept is also another amazing vehicle in the same aspect but there is only two issues with this 1) neither are sold in North America and 2) the price tag is rediculous 45k for a civic I would much rather buy a used C6 Z06 Vette for that price, Hondas cars are becoming a joke.....and this is coming from a Type-R owner but that is just my 2 cents worth
first off, there's a big thread in gdd about the itr vs. si thing (find it yourself).
the si isn't a newer model of the itr so the comparison doesn't make sense. as someone already said, it'd make more sense to compare the type r versions of both cars, in which case the ctr (fd2) would beat the itr in any kind of test, i'm pretty sure. the si should be compared to the gsr, which it's a replacement for in a way. in that case, the si would beat the gsr in any kind of comparison other than maybe subjective things like steering feel and whatnot.

well since you're a type-r owner supposedly, how would you feel if they did a mugen rr comparison to your itr, or whatever you have? maybe even an nsx comparison to your car?
