13" Wheels and Wilwood/Bicknell Calipers
Just wondering if anyone has made a bracket to fit aftermarket calipers under a 13" wheel on a CRX. There must be some GT guys out there doing this? I run a lot of soloI, soloII events and a hillclimb every year. Running 13x8" Duralites or Panasports and I like the added gearing benefits of a small wide 13" wheel. I am going to need better braking with the new engine this year (250hp fully built B20Vtec). Has anyone done this? Can it be done? I contacted fastbrakes and they don't have a kit.
TIA.
TIA.
13 inch wheels and big brakes has been covered ...
If you search you should find it.

Hasn't been covered from what I can tell, I browse this forum daily and have searched, closest thread is: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...alipers+wheels
Everyone talks about what OEM calipers fit under 13's but no discussion about potentially fitting wilwood dynalites (or something smaller, new version of dynapro?) on the stock rotor...

You're going to have an issue of burning up the tires on 13s with that kind of power. Several autoxers have found this out the hard way over the years.
That being said, if you're dead-set on doing it, sure its possible. You may not find your answer here, but there are plenty of Minis and Lotus Seven-replicas running around on 13s (and 12s, for that matter) with aftermarket calipers. You're probably looking at some kind of fabrication for the caliper bracket though.
I would also consider AMG's response. Are you sure the caliper is a problem (if you're having one), or could pad selection fix things?

I've run HP+ for a quite a while (with less power), worked well for what they are, Hawk blues are OK, but thinking about trying Cobalt or CarboTech. Or, just bite the bullet and move to a 15" Enkei RPF1. Just have two sets of nice lighweight 13's which are fun at the hillclimb, lots of acceleration out of the corners.
