Default Port Matching Intake manifold

I have a p73 Type R intake maniflold. It is opened up to 65mm to accept my 68 to 65mm (tapered) Throttle body.

I want to port match this manifold to the intake manifold gasket.

Some people say don't do it.

Should I do this , or not?

Will I see any gains?

Will I lose torque down low, gain HP up top?

---------------------
The intake ports on the head will be matched to the gasket as well....
My motor is a 1.8L 12.5cr LSvtec with ported head and skunk2 pro2's .

any thoughts would be helpful.

no real need unless the runners are ported and the head is ported. if the intake manifold opening is larger than the opening in the head the air will just run into the side of the head and now flow into the engine.
