so the wires that go from the engine harness to the ecu are the same? i ask because the interior harness is what connects to the ecu but i guess with what your saying the the wires that go from the engine harness to the ecu stay the same but the wires that go to the interior change?thanks by the way. i get confused because im used to dealing with eks. ef swaps are new to me.

the interior/cabin harness is what connects to the ecu. the engine harness is just the part that connects to the engine and can be removed by disconnecting the shock tower plugs.

lol i know sorry...
i have a 90 ed with dpfi and i have a 88 ed with b16a.
im swapping motor between both eds.
the 88 ed has the wiring converted for the b16a.
the 90 ed has a stock wiring.

i left the engine harness connected on the b16 that came out of the 88 ed.
im taking out the engine from the 90 ed (dpfi) and leaving the harness on it
so i can connect it to the engine harness (shock tower plugs only) on 88 ed and rewire it back to dpfi
because i want to keep the 90 ed with the b16 in it with the stock harness and convert the wiring myself...

sorry if im still confusing you guys....

that actually cleared a few things up.

okay, the engine harnesses will swap with no problem. and yes, you will need to convert the 90 interior harness from dpfi to mpfi. and you will also have to convert the 88 interior harness back to the dpfi since it was converted to mpfi for the b16 swap.

I hope THAT makes sense, lol.

yeah it does lol sience my 88 ed was all hacked that means i can just look at the 90 ed wiring to convert it all back to normal before i start doing the 90 ed dpfi --->mpfi.

Thanks for clearing it all up
