I'm back in the game...
So after an 8 year break I decided to get back into drag racing. But things have changed. Back then I was running a LS/VTEC setup. 12.1, bisi header, aem ems, fully built, wouldn't idle for crap but ran consistent mid 13s in a stripped EM1. 202whp,can't remember wtq...I think it was in the 160range
That car is gone but I picked up another EM1 shell and want to do it again. I know weight kills me but it's my favorite civic. So what all have I missed? It looks like some are hitting 11s now. How? What is new that people are running 12s so easy? The only thing not done to my old setup would be ITB that would get me faster. If I drop in a built all motor k24 will I still be eligble for most true street/all motor classes?

Welcome back . .
I think you should do a little more digging !
Most of the street all motor cars are running 10s, with the faster cars running 10.40s-10.60s . .
I'd say the kseries makes up 85-90% of the All motor class. . . Although there are a few other different set ups around the country . .
So to answer your question, Yes a k24 build would still be eligible for these classes . .

I believe so, but I am pretty sure there's an additional weight rule involved. I could easily be wrong.

I am on the verge of comin back out....its been 4 years since, and my ef with my ls/vtec all motor is sittin. Ive since put new plugs, changhed the oil and started her up. Sounds like yesterday. Ive heard the K series motors are the way to go, but with money tight, Im gonna stick with this build and go from there. I here 9's for turbos and low 10's for all motor STREET CARS are the norm. Good Luck!!!
